Don't use expensive proprietary cleaners on ceramic hobs, use a value brand cream cleanser and finish off by buffing up with a few drops of white vinegar on a soft cloth to shine it up.

Need suggestion. I had a fire in my kitchen which has left the walls and the roof stained with smoke. I could wipe off only a part of it though not clearly. was wondering if there is a way to clean the walls to avoid repainting. TRY USING A SUGAR SOAP SOLUTION :)

To remove stubborn burnt on food from saucepans/frying pans, add a tablespoons or 2 of laundry powder/a tablet and water and boil on cooker until spotless again. Wash pan thoroughly afterwards.

to descale your kettle, pour some malt vinegar and water (50/50) over the element of your kettle, and boil the kettle

To stop the bottom of your shower curtain from becoming discoloured or mouldy, coat it with baby oil

It's a pre-recycling one. When you've finished squeezing your lemon, don't chuck it in the bin or compost. Cut it open and rub it over your hair - it will give you natural highlights in the sun! Of course if you favour dark hair - stay well clear! Oh and of course - then chuck it in the compost bin :)

Remove mildew from shower curtains by scrubbing with a paste of bicarbonate of soda and water. Then rinse in plenty of clean water.
